During this lockdown, I have been creating music over garage band to try and get better ideas for my project, I have now found out how to improve my beats and make them sound up to date with todays music. I have done this by including a sub bass loop. Most of the rap genre now includes one to give the beat more of a kick plus they really do make the beat sound more hard. If your still reading, this is what I've been doing recently: writing up more lyrics over a beat my friend sent over. He listened to what I had by sending me a beat and me sending it back with vocals over the top of it. He listened to it and we both decided that for my type of rapping the beat was too slow. To over come that he started straight away on a new beat; this beat was more up beat and hip hop compare to the other one. So he sent his new beat over and I came up with a chorus and a couple of verses, with each chorus there is a change but not a jurassic change. I put this together using LumaFusion, it's a great app to structure together a song; it's quite simple. You just need to:
Uploade a media file of what ever audio (instrumental) you want to include in the song.
Click the plus sign on the bottom just under the track you uploaded.
Then click add voice over and record your vocals.
(Optional) you can always change the volume of individual tracks incase the vocals are too loud or quiet.
