Online zoom sessions

2020 was a tough year with all of that Covid spreading about but that didn't stop us from learning more music. To surpass the troubles we done remote lessons over zoom, I cant remember all the lessons but one of my favourite ones was the lyric writing task with Andrew, in that lesson, I found out some chords that worked well together and then used them to create a simple pattern structure: Aminor, Dminor, G, Dminor, Aminor then down to the G. I then wrote down some lyrics that work perfectly with the piano. Another lesson was with emma, it was a music theory lesson, we learned about time signatures and what key a piece of music starts in. After that lesson I now know if there's a single sharp note, the key is G, if there's a single flat note then it's in the key of F, if theres a double sharp, then the key is D and if theres neither sharp or flat then the key is in C. I feel like this is something I do need to brush up on though so I can progress musically. This will help with creating my own pieces because it gives me a better understanding of what key a piece of music is in. I feel like my achievements within the zoom calls are definitely on creating music, I still need to finish the piece I started but that is the first time I tried making lyrics over a piano progression and it worked out rather well. Another achievement is being able to play pieces on the piano.
