Week 3 rehearsal

In the 3rd week me and my band went through our chosen songs: Zombie, Use somebody and Love the way you lie. we went through Zombie a few times to start and articulated what needed adding and taken out. We decided that after the bass looped around twice; I'd start the drums with a little drum roll and then come in with a simple 4 beat. I then went off on my own to do some individual practice. Within this individual practice I listened to the song through my head phones and played along with it so I could then understand the structure and timing better for the drum roll. This took until week 4 to get use to. On the Wix website we created our first blog about week 1 and published it. We are made to do this each time we rehearse so we know where our improvements lay. In this week we also had a mock performance to see how prepared people were at that point. This gave an understanding of where we are at with the rehearsals. This also gave us the opportunity to get feed back on our work and see where needs improvement. We identified the issues with the cover songs and work on them as soon as possible, doing this helped quite a lot because we articulated and reflected from of the mock what we need to do and make better.
