Week 5 rehearsal

In this week we all went around to see how the other groups were doing so that we could try and boosts peoples confidence ready for the stage. We also designed a background for the performance, the background we chose to use was a very bright and in your face type of background which will be a good way to keep the audiences attention. We then went back over our songs a few times and tried tightening them, Zombie and Love the way you lie were pretty much there we just needed to work on the emotion and enthusiasm in the 2 songs. On the other hand, Used somebody was not going so well, it was just the drums that needed tightening up completely. To practice it I communicated with the band I was in for some assistance, their advice did help a bit. They said "try and find the pulse of the song and work around that with the beat". This advice helped but didn't do much because I couldn't find the pulse. To work on that I went on the Cajon; put the song on and hit the Cajon to the beat for the impulse. This did improve the timing for the beat, however it still was not performance ready. In this week, our band picked one essential piece of clothing; we decided to go with a black leather jacket then the rest was our individual choice. The leather jacket made us look like a proper ensemble but the rest of our clothing made us look like individual and unique people.
